Are you peripatetic? If so, would you be concerned? Insulted? Embarrassed? What does peripatetic mean?
A. Walking or traveling about.
B. Irritable.
C. Bearded and bald.
D. Suffering from chronic indigestion.
Surprisingly, this uncomfortable sounding word means walking or traveling about. We see that the word comes from the days of Aristotle. The great philosopher used to conduct lectures and philosophical discussions while roaming around the Lyceum in Athens.
So. Before there was MBWA (Management by Walking Around), there was PBWA (Philosophizing by Walking Around.)
Sorry about all the acronyms. I thought PBWA was something new, but it already stands for stuff like Petroleum and Water Business Area and Plane-Wave Born Approximation.
Anyway, Aristotle might have been on to something. Do find it easier to think when stationary or when peripatetic?
