A sinecure. You might want one. So what is it?
A. An extended vacation.
B. A job or position that requires no work.
C. A large inheritance.
D. A winning lottery ticket.
E. A cure for sinus infections.
I told you you'd want one! The correct definition of sinecure is "B"--a job or position that requires no work.
In the private sector, sinecures are most widely available at the Executive Vice President level. How can I get my mitts on a sinecure, you ask? Here are a few tips--
1. Learn from someone who already has a sinecure--your boss.
2. Just stop doing work--it's quite safe because your results are apt to improve.
3. Always, always, always take credit for results achieved by colleagues, competitors, world leaders, and the Man in the Moon.
Give it some time, but no effort.
